Wrist wraps
Higher power output.
Few pieces of supportive equipment can have as much impact on your pressing strength as wrist wraps. Whether you are performing an explosive push press, pressing a giant dumbbell weighing close to or above 100 kg, or bench pressing, you can often produce more force than your wrist can support on its own if it is not perfectly aligned.
A wrist wrap helps keep the wrist in a strong position and provides additional support if it starts to bend under load.
Different lengths and stiffness.
Different training situations call for different levels of support. During multiple sets with short rest periods, a softer and shorter wrist wrap can provide useful support while remaining comfortable for longer periods.
For a 1RM giant dumbbell or another maximal press, maximum stiffness and support may be more important. The ideal length also depends on wrist thickness.
Many strongman athletes keep two or even three different pairs for different situations. Take your pick.
Sizes.
Flex / 40 cm
For lifters with smaller wrists and those looking for comfortable, lighter support.
Firm / 40 cm
Recommended for lifters with smaller wrists who still want firm and noticeable support.
Flex / 60 cm
The standard all-round option for most lifters and most use cases.
Firm / 60 cm
Maximum support. Put them on, do your lift, and take them off.
